Boosting posts are a really easy way to get started with advertising on Facebook. After all, you know your customers are on Facebook, and that nice blue Boost Post button is right there.
Well, yes and no.
Boosting a post is a really easy, simple entrance into the world of Facebook advertising. For example, you only have to choose from 2 objectives, Website visits or Engagements:
On the other hand, you can have over 10 objectives to choose from in Ad Manager:
So the simplicity of boosting posts can be a good thing.
But here’s my question for you – what are you trying to achieve when you’re boosting a post?
- Trying to get more people to your site?
- Trying to get more likes, comments, or shares on your Facebook post?
- Trying to generate leads?
If you answered 1 or 2, then you’re probably satisfied with the results that you got from boosting posts.
However, if your objective was to actually get more leads for your business, then you might have felt like you wasted money. Which makes sense. And you’re not alone.
But if you’d like leads instead of likes/shares/comments, then you’re ready to go beyond boosting posts. You’re ready to use Facebook advertising as a tool to bring you more leads.
To take that next step, I’d recommend taking a class and getting trained before you start spending any more money on ads. Or, you can hire someone to do your Facebook advertising for you.
